Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water to remove any dirt and germs. This will prevent dirty hands from transferring dirt or germs onto a contact lens.

Remove one contact lens from your eye and place into the center of the palm of your hand with the bowl facing upward.

Apply a few drops of contact cleaning solution directly into the bowl of the contact lens in your hand. Lightly rub the lens with your finger in a light circular motion.

Rinse the contact lens with the contact lens solution. Use enough of the solution to give the lens a thorough rinse to remove any dirt or debris. The contact is now clean and can be placed back into the eye or stored in the contact lens holder.
Storing Clean Contacts in Lens Holder

Fill each side of the contact lens holder 3/4 of the way full with cleaning solution. Clean contact lenses can be stored in a contact lens holder containing contact solution.

Place the clean contact into the appropriate contact compartment of the lens holder. Most contact lens holders have an L and an R printed on the top of each lens compartment to indicate which compartment contains the left or right contact lens. Place the contact lens into the appropriate container that corresponds to which eye the contact was on.

Close the lid to the contact compartment to create a seal to keep out dust and dirt.

Before wearing the contact again, remove the contact from the lens holder and rinse with cleaning solution before placing into the eye. Do not interchange the contact lenses in your eyes. If a contact lens was previously worn in the left eye, continue wearing the contact lens in the left eye.
